A: Seating units are installed at between R2 850 for an entry-level, static seat, and up to R15 000 or more for a top of the range, electric motion, butt-kicker, luxury unit.

Q: What parts of the country do you cover?

A: We are based out of Gauteng but have representation in Cape Town and can install for clients all over South Africa. If required we will travel to neighbouring countries - or even overseas.

Q: What's the difference between a Silverscreen home cinema and home cinema components bought from an audio-visual or furniture store?

A: Everything! Silverscreen offers you total cinema experience, complete with user-friendly controls, luxury finishes, multi-sensory effects and ambience.

Q: How long does it take to install a Silverscreen home cinema?

A: Up to 10 weeks from design sign-off, depending on the type of finish you require.

Q: Who makes your chairs?
|

A: Cape Town and Pretoria based factories, as well as some special imports on request.

Q: What are butt-kicker effects?
|

A: Exhilarating sensations that that give you a virtual experience of the movie - in other words, you don't just watch and hear the movie, you feel it - in fact you're in it.

Q: Can I convert any room into a home cinema?
|

A: Yes - on consultation with us and if the room proves suitable from various important technical aspects.

Q: How many seats can fit into a home theatre?
|
|
A: The size of your room, together with your choice of seating, be they arm chairs or adjustable recliners will influence both the number of seats and the seat positioning. For example, the chairs can be positioned at different heights from the floor so that wherever you sit, you have a full, unblocked view of the screen.

Q: Why does one need sound-proofing?
|
|
A: Two reasons. Firstly when you're watching a movie you don't want to hear everything that's going on in the rest of the house. You want to escape. Secondly, you don't want the amplified sound ofyour home theatre to be heard throughout your home or by your neighbours.

Q: Can I watch live sport or a TV programme or movie in my home cinema?

A: Absolutely. Think 2010 World Cup! Your installation can include DSTV connectivity.

Q: I'm building a new house and would like my architect to talk to you. Is this possible?

A: No problem. The sooner we consult with each other the better.
